CASITAS

7 Units

4th and 12th Avenue, Ybor City, Tampa, FL

Ybor City was founded in the 1880s by cigar manufacturers and was populated by thousands of immigrants, mainly from Cuba, Spain and Italy. The cigar industry ignited a plethora of opportunity for Ybor City. The lack of transportation in the 1800’s created the necessity for walkable communities that coupled with the prosperity Ybor experienced at that time created what is now known today as one of the nations most notorious historic districts. All over the county we are experiencing an urban renaissance, citizens are choosing to move closer to the downtown core and searching for vintage neighborhoods enriched with character. Ybor city is no different with several hundred million dollars of new development currently under way from hotels to apartments and offices. Casitas (little houses) is a boutique project adding to the movement and is a unique opportunity to live in the heart of the entertainment district. The Casistas are made up of seven completely renovated historic single family homes and two new townhomes inspired by the districts architecture. Houses like these were likely to be home to cigar factory workers or local merchants. The renovations and new construction are inspired by the historic character but will have the modern amenities that todays homebuyer desire. This is a rare blend of old and new bringing nine infill adjacent homes to market within a historic district.
